I too feel the same way except for the last part. I've never told anyone that I have a speech impediment which happens to be speech blocks because I speak well and I don't struggle much. My only issues are saying my name (at times) and some words that don't come out of my mouth for which I use replacements pretty well. And yes I too hate to introduce myself as someone who struggles with speaking.
