Been reading through everybody's answers. A wide variety of answers to say the least! There is one fundamental reason why I asked this question. I asked this because...the way you view yourself speaks volumes about your mindset and approach to life. In these answers I saw many positive qualities, among a few larger negative qualities. It seems to me that people are saying "I have these positive qualities that I think little of...BUT THERE'S ALSO THESE NEGATIVE ONES TOO THAT TOTALLY CONSUME ME". Which brings me to my next point about perspective. There is ALWAYS something to be positive about. ALWAYS. To start, you're breathing - you can experience life. You also have the luxury of choice. To experience whatever you wish in life. To try amazing foods, engage in new hobbies, learn more about the world around you...there's so much to be thankful for. Expressing gratitude for the smallest of luxuries can make you feel so much better. To uplift all your positive qualities, and only your positive qualities, will allow you to improve your self-image. To continue, it's common for me to see people are victimised by their stutter. It's acceptable to feel frustrated and angry about your circumstances. It's one thing to be victimised by it and constantly complain...and it's another thing to decide to take action against it. To make that switch in your head that says "I'm going to do whatever it takes to change my circumstances and improve my quality of life". Let's face it...what you do with your circumstances matters much more than what your circumstances are. We all have struggles and struggles of varying degrees - but they're still struggles. This is about what you can do for yourself instead of wondering why things seem to be going shit for you. Things go against you when you believe the world is against you. When you view every interaction as negative and see no hope in progress. By doing that, you're digging your own grave and that's a dangerous game to play. Dangerous but (yet again) common to feel all hope is lost. To continue, the beauty of life is it's ours for the taking. The only constant is CHANGE - it's imminent. Your thoughts change everyday. The world around you changes everyday. People have different feelings everyday. So why do we stick with our own self-destructive habits and thought patterns? To conclude, start loving yourself. And I don't mean fapping until you feel good. I mean begin to love yourself for the person that you are. To embrace your positive qualities and reframe your mind to see progress and growth in all areas of your life. I can't stress enough how much better you will be in the next few months when you begin to love yourself and SEE THE POSITIVE IN EVERYTHING that you do. Doing this is taking ownership over your circumstances. You call the shots in your life. Life can't be something that "happens" to you.
