HI I stutter and am a speech pathologist, I am also a stuttering specialist of over 30 years. Lidocmbe often can be used after age 6 however not all therapists are stuttering specialists. I have seen great success but I use many other things besides lidcombe. It is a very positive praise program but kids and families should also be educated on the environment as well. It is not cut and dry to end at age 6. Hope this helps a little. Sometiens social media gives it a bad name.
