Used to work in journalism in the suburbs of Chicago and in a small farm town. Then I was an emergency preparedness coordinator for a health department and o sold radio ads, all in the same town. It wasn’t easy. Never thought I would ever sell anything, but I was near the end of a job I didn’t like and I heard isn ad on the radio station for an opening for a salesman one day, and I thought to myself I can’t do that . Then I heard that same ad the next day, and I thought to myself I can do that. It was all a struggle but I was so happy working.
