I never said ”it’s genetic”, although there is a well known hereditary element to the condition. Spontaneous recovery among adults isn’t impossible but extremely rare. People who seek out Discord servers and online forums are generally people who haven’t learned to accept their disability, so that is an obvious case of negativity bias/reverse survivorship bias. For obvious reasons, people who have learned to cope won’t seek commiseration to nearly the same degree.
