According to my parents, I didn't stammer at all as a young child, it's something that started out of nowhere once I began my secondary education. It's not the cause of some physical injury/illness, and I have no genetic predisposition. No one in my family stutters, no one I know stutters. There are days where the stuttering is at a minimum, but it always, always comes back with a vengeance. Sorry for the amount of self-pity but sometimes I just can't help wondering why me and whether I will ever amount to anything in life...
