I’m 45 with a moderate to severe stutter. I have a difficult relationship with it. On the plus side - Had a great social life, went to law school, actually had a run as a d-list politician and had to speak all the time in public. I dated some great women and felt like the stutter weeded out some girls not worth the trouble. On the downside, it has affected my career choices, it’s humiliating to still get picked on, and I would always hope for a non-fatal car crash on the way to every speaking engagement so I could get out of it. It sucks. But there are a lot of things that suck worse.
