I don't know very much about your daughters fluency or how long it has gone on, but she is at an age where it could be developmental stuttering- I.e. a large number of children stutter between 2 and 5 but it's just a part of language development and she may not be a life long stutterer. Is there tension? Struggle? Blocks? There's an emotional impact but is this because the SLT is treating this as something to be 'fixed'? If the speech therapist is trying to correct dysfluent speech and not exploring how she feels about her speech or what affects it, they might be selling snake oil (I'm an SLT) Again I might be wrong since I don't know enough about your daughters speech but I'm wary of SLTs working privately who will take your money but not be helpful..
