Honestly, looks to me like _you're_ the one "ranting" a bit here... It's _realistic_ to know what stutter can do. We have to think of the people who are worst off, and include them in our community. If we choose to only focus on those who did best, we risk alienating those who can't possibly relate to that. Nobody's telling you to "sit and wait". There are various ways of coping with stutter, learning to deal with it, and improving your living with it. That should be clear from the threads - or at least, as far as I can tell, this is the sort of thing that's routinely being shared. The notion that we can do something about it, but that we at the same time have to be realistic and not expect miracles. Don't mistake the sharing for "whining". That's an insult to the people who choose to display their issues to us. Think instead if there's any way _you_ can support them. But think about what you say.
