The author talks about creating "Fluency memories" by overwriting stuttering memories. That really worked for me. I always stutter when I anticipate that I might stutter. And I anticipate because I've been in that situation and I knew that I stuttered last time. That is a stutter memory. I practiced talking slowly and talking to me in front of a mirror and slowly moved on to real conversations. Now I am at a point where I can talk fluently in short bursts but block hard if I anticipate certain words or a long talk.
