First of all, fuck that guy upside-down with a shovel. Second of all, for situations like that I either slow down or take a break to focus before I respond. Or if I know it might be coming, I practice saying what I might want to say with some prolongations in my car or the bathroom or something. Those times are pretty unavoidable and it sucks, but it does help me find some places with super nice people working there sometimes.
