And just to clarify, if it was an online thing or the dating service (back then it was a brick and mortar place), I made my stutter clear up front. If it was a coworker, I really didn't have to say anything because it would already be obvious from our interactions. I'm a writer, so I was always able to "charm" much better over text than I was over the phone or in person. I think that would be an advantage if I were a young person today. Nevertheless, I still had to do my best over the phone or meeting in person when actually talking. It was what it was. It wasn't always easy, obviously, but again, level-setting before a date helped so much. I suppose honesty and being yourself are the foundations of any good relationship, so best to start out right that way.
