>"same method you have in classic speech therapy" The difference between classic speech therapy and [these stutter exercises](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1MOuhe_X8WSTuUr8A6jgk78T7z52a4Xch?usp=sharing), is: Classic speech therapy is focused on: * secondary behaviors * triggers from social anxiety * effects of symptom * learn to be okay with stuttering to choose/justify compulsion These stutter exercises are focused on: * primary behaviors * triggers that lead to an anticipation of a stutter * cause of symptoms * learn to not be bothered by stuttering (to stop hiding triggers) in order to stop compulsion Conclusion: The goal of these exercises are to observe the triggers (that lead to a stutter anticipation) without reacting while not doing compulsion. Then your body learns that the trigger (like a feared letter) is not true, your true intentions and fearful. If you always observe and expect the trigger, then you build tolerance against its discomfort. Also, you stop ruminating and doing fight or flight response. You also learn to stop focusing on speech mechanism and stop focusing on the stutter feeling in order to 'predict' a stutter (after all, no one can predict a stutter, the feared letter (and other triggers) are all based on story-telling in your mind).
