Has anyone tried an in-ear device?

Has anyone tried an in-ear device? I’ve always had a stutter, and it’s quite often interfered with my life from isolating myself to avoid social situations, confidence, to restricting the type of jobs I apply for etc. I recently saw an in-ear fluency device’ from speak for less. It looks like a hearing aid, but it plays your own voice back. I’ve tried a few apps like it, ands it seems to work in slowly my speech down and helping the words flow, but you have to have the app open all the time and leave headphones in, which looks quite rude. Has anyone ever tried them? Do they help? I think the idea is you use them semi regularly or in environments you tend to stutter more often, like job interviews, and over time it may also run off so you used to the rhythm of speaking slowly. It’s quite expensive, over £600, so I was wondering if anyone has similar experience and found them useful or not.
