How do you explain the fact that some dopamine antagonists, such as olanzapine can actually CAUSE stuttering (and yet, at the same time olanzapine is a treatment for stuttering in some people)? I developed stuttering on Lybalvi (olanzapine and samidorphan combination drug) and it has almost 100% ceased (except under extreme duress) since discontinuation of the drug. I retrialed it briefly but stuttering resumed within four days, only to cease again a week after discontinuation. I’m wondering what the samidorphan has to do with it but MD and pharmacist seem to be focused on olanzapine. Curious what your thoughts are.
