Did OP edit the post, bc as I’m reading it, there’s nothing about the friends being shallow, superficial, mocking, rude, etc? This is a very important distinction IMO bc the perception that others are, or will, mock our speech is often the main causal factor in the blocking and twitching, and inability to string a sentence together.
