Wow. Great question. I wonder the same question about some time ago. My conclusion is this: Even if I am mute, **I will still be a stutter**. ¿Why? Because I will still have a stutter mentality. Stuttering is much more than the symptoms. Its the tendency to hold back our emotions, the continuous anxious thoughts, the necesity for control, the fear of anticipation, the need to indulge on other persons desires, the need to perform. Even if you can´t talk, you will feel the same feelings asociated with stuttering that you feel now in some situations. The same block. I used to stammer playing guitar. I mean my fingers got stuck and can´t play the next note. Just like stammering. I remeber I told my folks that I stammer also with my fingers. So in response to your question my answer is no. I would rather talk. But the good news is this tell us a big clue in solving the puzle. In order to stop stuttering we have to change our mentality. Bye
