I'm the "guy" from above that you replied to but the mods removed it for telling me to go have sex with myself, so I will reply here. Stuttering isn't a death sentence, as many in this sub will echo. I have friends who stutter who are doctors, lawyers, speech therapists, researchers, etc. They succeed in life despite/because of their stutter. In fact, one of my best friends in the world has probably the most "severe" stutter I've ever seen--her blocks can last 30+ seconds. Know what she does? She's a pediatrician working with kids with cancer. She loves it and rocks her job on a daily basis. A person can stutter AND have a great life, even if you fail to see that in yourself. You called me out for saying I chose to have a kid despite the risk they might stutter. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. They might stutter. They also might be president someday, or win a Nobel prize, or save someone's life on the side of the road. The risk of stuttering doesn't outweigh all else that might happen.
