Yheres a lot to reply to here and I really appreciate the time you've spent typing this and I'm sure many others do too! So, i don't stutter on my own, I've said tongue twisters by myself and say them fine but if I were to say it infront of even my family, I'd probably stutter instantly. One of the reasons I'm scared of stuttering is because its embarrassing, it sounds annoying and when I hear it back in recordings, I cringe at it or when I think about it it makes me feel ill. I also take 999 calls so if I stutter during that, it can delay help by mere seconds, it doesn't sound professional and it's recorded so it's there forever. I've also noticed that I automatically rest my head on my left side and rub the left side of my face when I stutter in work. Not sure how it looks but it seems to be an automatic response when I'm taking calls at my desk.
