Try to speak in a more animated way, varying your tonalities, pitch, volume, taking pauses and taking in full air to breathe. Speaking in a more animated/expressive way forces you to take natural breaks and breath before making new sound. Pick someone that speaks in an animated way, and notice the pauses and breaks they take. This way of speaking is actually preferable to speaking in monotone. Most stutterers (including myself) tend to speak in a monotone, which affords less opportunities to stop and breathe Let me know if you want to practice this over a phone call
