I would possibly check into trying therapy again! Lots of things have changed in fluency therapy recently. We focus on strategies to enhance fluency and make speaking situations more comfortable, rather than trying to get rid of the stutter. We have learned over the years that is is not practical. I think that stuttering modification strategies would be useful for you, such as pseudo-stuttering (fake stuttering to ease the anxiety about real stuttering). And possibly providing a disclaimer prior to speaking, so there’s less pressure: “hey man, I have a stutter! Just a heads up.”
