Have you seen a hypnotist for your stutter?

Have you seen a hypnotist for your stutter? My neurogenic stutter has stumped my speech pathologists and neurologists. Because there's not a lot of research on this type of stutter, there are virtually no therapies developed for it. My doctor is now suggesting I see a hypnotist in the hope I can learn new skills. Has any other stutterer gone to a hypnotist and what did you think of it?
