I am no longer fluent but I have been completely fluent several times in my life. Each time I achieved fluency was from attending [HCRI](https://www.stuttering.org/). For me the program works great for a couple months. But eventually my old speech patterns come back. Some who attend the program have had better long term success. They claim 75% retain fluency when evaluated 2 years after treatment. I'm not sure it doesn't work for me long term. I leave the program sounding great. I practice like I'm supposed to but eventually it comes back. YMMV.
