No. Simply no. The kid asked a simple question, probably out of curiosity. Why shouldn’t a kid ask such a question? Your teacher could have expanded on the subject, said you have a stutter or something else. But 1) the teacher probably didn’t know how you and your stutter would react to being the midpoint of such. Heck, you stated yourself, that you didn’t even know you stuttered at the time. 2) kids are evil sons of bitches. Towards everyone different. 3) society is wrong in so many ways. Deal with it. Society is not the one that has to live the life as a stutterer and society doesn’t really give a crap about your hurt feelings. You deal with yourself so that YOU accept YOURSELF. That means accepting your stutter. People in general are kind, patient and understanding. Most of the ‘hate’ you get is your own self-hate. I am sorry if I come of as lecturing or condescending, but this is the piece of advice I needed when i was young. I don’t know your age, but hopefully someone can use this. Edit: for anyone interested, I read ‘The subtle art of not giving a fuck’ and it helped me immensely with coming to terms with my stutter. And generally in life.
