We weren't allowed to read. It was about a topic which everyone got to choose for himself so we were supposed to know the matter really well. Everyone else wrote a text for their presentation and learned it. I didn't because I knew my topic so well that I could speak for hours about it and decided I'd be better without a learned text because this way I wouldn't constantly check if I have forgotten something and this allowed me to speak freely, which is the whole point of the exam. As for the loud reading you mentioned, do you mean that concentrating on speaking louder while reading makes the stutter disappear? I'll make sure I try this.
