I absolutely get it. I block on my birth year during medical interviews - to which I say uh a lot while I wait for the block to release - to which people think I’m lying lol. I’m a firefighter who has to talk on the radio to dispatch. I block on words that start with ‘A’. “Arrived” “Ambulance” “Apartment”. It’s terrible. I have to make up ways to circumvent it. “On Scene” “Multi-family dwelling” “EMS Transport”. If you haven’t tried Thiamine HCL along with magnesium you owe it to yourself to try it. I can definitely tell when I’m not taking it. I also will “roll” into the word I block on with a different sound. I will also pretend I can’t think of the word and ask for people to finish it for me - and be like “ya! That one”. Mine goes away and comes back as well. Good days, bad days, and great days. But the embarrassing moments! A bunch. They keep me humble, as well as compassionate towards people I work for who are also going through disabilities.
