It shows you do not understand that we don't know what stuttering is and that it varies a great deal across individuals. It's good that people can come here and listen to the accounts of other stutterers. It helps us frame the things we have to deal with. But it's not good that people come here and claim they have an easy solution, or that their solution works for others, or that stutterers "just need to" _whatever_... That's simply not how it is for a lot of us. This has nothing to do with anyone "giving up", it's just down to a very complex condition that we have no concrete solution for yet. Be more realistic about it. And more knowledgeable too. If you consider this sub _not positive_, consider instead whether it is in fact _quite positive_ to be able to share these things with each other... :)
