Lost a chance to get into a very prestigious educational institution due to my general problem of stuttering . How do I reduce it so that I don't get rejected on face ? So as the title says - I was due for an interview in a very prestigious educational institutions to get into an Economics Hons. Program but I stuttered all along the interview , couldn't perform well at group discussion round despite knowing all the relevant points and data and all in all despite very good grades stand in probably the last lists or rounds to get admission into ( considering this institution has about 12 seats for my category so kind of game over for me there ) So all in all I know this can't be cured ( it's not a disease per say ) but rather for lack of a better world - a disability . So how do I minimize the effect of this disability ? For reference I went for Speech therapy ( did about 12 rounds of therapy with the speech therapist ) but is their any other way to reduce this or do I stand to be corrected at every place because of this impediment which is increasingly becoming a road block for me to get into good academic institutions ? Any response is graciously accepted and appreciated . ( **New to this subreddit - sorry if I have said something that disturbs your reservations about this problem but this post is made at a state of frustration over things beyond my control thus discretion is advised on the side of reader** )
