I have a technique that I've used for 25 years that has helped me to only stutter in high stress situations and when I forget to utilize it. I use "slow & easy" speech. Learned it at a summer camp for stutterers I attended. You slow down and think about what you're going to say, then say it slowly making sure to enunciate. Being a southern boy is helpful because a lot of people speak slowly as opposed to New Englanders who speak more quickly. I speak with intent and enunciate now in most situations. Not always super convenient especially if you get into an argument or are asked a question where a quick response is expected.
