Mom of a kid who stutters here! Hi. For my teen who stutters, he probably does what you do. He rewrites speeches and takes out the words that he stutters on. A thesaurus is his good friend. Unfortunately, he stutters on words that begins with vowels. If he can remember, he blows out, like an "H" sound before he talks. This helps alot. I think this is pretty close to other folks advice about breath work.
