What drives me insane is people in power thinking this. I’m a current high school student, taking multiple college classes and have done well in every single one that I’ve done, and yet my school counselor put me in ESL classes. Nothing wrong with those classes and for a lot of people, they’re helpful, but for me I was way past that basic level. She only changed them once other adults got involved and called her on her shit.
