My stuttering is alot better now, but struggling with Specific Sounds - Seeking Advice Hi everyone, I’ve been dealing with stuttering for a while now, and I wanted to share my experience and get some advice from others who might relate. In the past, I used to stutter on words starting with letters like b,c,d,f,g,j,k,l,p,q and t especially when speaking formally with people outside my close circle. However, when I’m talking to close friends or family, I’d only struggle with p, k, and t. Over time, I’ve made progress by practicing more & more and travelling & talking with people and no longer stutter on most of those letters. But p, k, and t remain a big challenge for me, especially when speaking in front of others. This makes me feel so embarrassed that I sometimes end up stuttering on other words as well. It feels like a mental block—I go into a conversation almost certain that I’ll struggle with these sounds, and that mindset seems to make it worse because in 99% cases I am never able to pronounce p,k & t & I try to find alterative words to complete my sentence and sometimes an alternative is not available. Has anyone else experienced something similar? How do you manage these specific barriers or overcome the fear of getting stuck on certain sounds? I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts and advice. Thanks in advance!
