Remove the thought that people will automatically judge you or ridicule you when they hear you stutter. Most people are polite and understanding and don't give a damn if you stutter or not. Add the thought that you can and you should get your voice be heard even though you stutter. It's not shameful to stutter. It's shameful to retreat to your shell and not have the courage to face your issues with stuttering head on.
