For reference, many many SLP do not even know the true depth of a complex dysfluency. I don’t know about you, but I *spent* most of my time trying to hide my stutter. I got very good at this (mostly had hard silent blocks or just switched words, or gave up entirely). When I successfully tricked people, why world I call them ignorant, or assume they knew I had a neurological disability? They only way most people can truly know what’s truly going on is if you tell them specifically and directly.
