There's a very strong parallel to the 'incel' mentality, as in, 'it's everyone else's fault my life sucks and I'm not going to do one single thing to change my own life for the better. I'm choosing to be bitter and angry with the world rather than take responsibility for the things I can change for the better.' Quite sad, actually.
