It sounds like you are doing some great things right now with tackling your stutter and fighting it head on. I bet you'll get a different response from each person that is on this sub -- I think that speech therapy has provided me with some tools and understanding of what's going on and ways to practice throughout the day. That being said, it's definitely not a cure, I still block and stutter a bunch during my crazy work schedule, so I think I would be super disappointed if I expected to be cured. The other thing I would say is that there are some pretty crummy speech therapists out there -- pretty much all the ones I have had didn't really empathize with the stutterer or stuttering, if that makes sense. It was generally viewed as this unsightly part of me that needed to be worked out. Either way, you have such a healthy attitude and approach at your age! I'm 31 now, and I've just begun to come to terms with my stuttering.
