plus, mostly people have made such jokes when they are trying to make fun of me/make me upset. So I guess if you avoid them and hang out with normal people, you're fine. Normally shopkeepers ask me to write down what I want, I understand that this way it'll be easier for both of us but tbh it feels a bit insulting.
