For people with silent blocks: Do any of you guys have nearly perfect, spontaneous fluency around some people, but harder, more calculated fluency around others? When I'm around my parents/close friends, I speak without thinking twice and rarely get any speech issues. When around others, I have to think hard before I talk and use word subs a lot. I understand that this is probably due to stress exacerbating the issue. What do you guys do to try and get your fluency close to the good levels when you're around people you arn't completely comfortable with? Any methods/ideas?
