I have a mild stutter that I can often talk around so it's not always noticeable, and when I was on venlafaxine for my anxiety and depression for a couple years it had almost completely gone away. I stopped taking the antidepressants due to losing insurance, and my stutter came back with a vengeance. For months it was the worst it had even been, I would stutter or block almost every sentence. It was also a generally stressful time in my life so I can't say for sure whether it was stopping the medication, or the increased stress, but there was a very noticeable difference from being on the medication and then stopping it.
