I just conquered my fear of speaking on the phone. It was the first time I did it in 8 years. My speech therapist recommended that i make one phone call this week and i decided that i was going to call my mom, so i can get warmed up. Well, life had different plans. I had to deal with an emergency banking situation and it was either I call them or potentially lose, too me, a lot of money. I had to speak to 4 different people, i advertised that i stutter and i would need more time. I repeated and blocked but i continued because i had a fear that was greater than my fear of speaking. Now, after going in the deep end, my fear of speaking on the phone seems to have decreased very quickly. Of course, it's not gone forever but I've got the confidence now. Never give up, my friends!
