There’s a miscommunication when people say to “accept your stutter”. What they mean is “you have hard silent blocks and many uncomfortable and bizarre avoidance behaviors (see below) because your brain cannot tolerate/accept others hearing your repetitions.” Avoiding eye contact, avoiding words/situations, fear/panic at the thought of speaking, odd head movements, etc. If any of this makes sense, look at my recent post here
