Son stutters but is still confident Hey everyone, I've posted about my son before. He is soon to be ate and he has a stutter. It seems to have periods where it's bad, and periods where it somewhat calms down. I know there's different kinds of stutters, his mostly happens when he's excited and as a child, he's excited often. Sometimes it seems like he is straining to get the word out, like its a physical weight. Me and my wife never finish his sentences for him. But we will sometimes ask him to stop, take a breath and start again. I am worried about what will happen as he gets older, though for now he is confident and has friends. Something happened last week. We went out to a dinner where someone gave a presentation for kids. During the presentation the audience was allowed to ask questions. He was excited and raised his hands, and when the microphone comes around - he speaks clearly. What is up with that? Also, when we've taken him to a speech therapist, he stops suffering, and so we've stopped taking him. Can anyone relate to this experience?
