Just applied for a Call Center Job and yeah I am going to take a chance...be honest and tell the interviewer that I Stutter...A few years back.. I opened a HBB...Home Based Business..In doing so I realized I would have to be My own Secretary...answer Phones and make Business Calls just about everyday..There is no extra Money to hire someone..I gotta do it...So I delayed opening for Business out of panicking...I plan to open it Sometime this Year...No more delays..Through The DHF Social Services Agency in my state area... I told them of My Stuttering and they gave me a Ipad Device with a Speech Software Program called TD Snap installed on it...It's a Speech Adaptive Computer Software Program that helps Stutterers..(Look it up on YOUTUBE)The Ipad Device connects to My Landline Telephone.. Using My Telephone Headphones...I type/text in words and phrases in conversation with my Clients and the Computer Software Program speak it audibly to the caller on the Telephone... I can record Text/words with My own Voice so it really does sound like me and not a robot.. or I can use an Electronic voice that the software provides..I have yet to use it outside of My Business...But when I am interviewing..for this Call Center Job and other Jobs.. I will ask if I can use it...Most Companies are ok with Someone needing/requesting Work Related Accommodations to be better able to do their Job..I hope for the best..I hope posting about this Speech Computer Software can help other Stutterers..Hope it can help them too.
