You ordered your food in person at a restaurant. You should be proud of yourself for not just ordering online and taking the easy way out. I get it, there are way too many bad days for PWS to handle. I used to flat out refuse to order my own food. If I had to go to a drive thru or Subway or anyplace I had to talk to someone I would be standing there for ages just trying to say I want white bread or something like that. I almost always get stuck on the word "I" and "s" words are the worst. When I order a soda I almost always just order a coke because it is too hard to say dr. Pepper. Just too many "p's" for it to sound right. I don't know what it is but if I say I want a coke at a drive thru they almost always ask if I said Diet Coke. Sometimes I will just say yeah that's it and drink it. Yuck. I currently work at a drive in restaurant that is famous for its same two guy actors being in every commercial. Spoiler, they aren't actors. When I tell people on here that I have a job that requires me to talk to strangers all day/night long they always seemed shocked. Some of us don't imagine ever getting a job because that would require us having phone interviews and face to face interviews and the job itself. Don't quit your job, no matter what job you think of getting there will always be meetings that you will be required to attend and speak up. Talk to your boss about your stutter. Does he know you stutter? If not tell him about it and what he can do to accommodate you during meetings and such. What kind of job do you have if I may ask? Depending on your job I could suggest some things for you to recommend. I wish you the best of luck.
