A moment of appreciation I (25F) have just came across this r/ and it has already helped me to accept my stutter. I have had a stutter since I was a young child and I have never met another person at work / school / anywhere that also has a stutter. I've never talked about my stutter to anyone before due to the embarrassment I feel about it and also the fact that non-stutters just don't understand the distress every small conversation can have on you. So thank you to this r/ as it gives me comfort knowing there is other people out there who experience the same thing. Seriously this had me in tears thinking I'm not alone in this. You all rock
