My stutter didn't onset suddenly, but had an interesting start. I stuttered in elementary school but it kind of went away around 2nd grade. I was stutter-free for a couple years, and then I met a friend in 5th grade who stuttered pretty badly. Before I knew it, my stutter was back and hasn't gone away since. I'm lucky that mine isn't bad, but I do have blockages on multi-syllable words mostly starting with R's, M's and sometimes S's.
