Yeah, it seems like they are very contradictory. But I just want to not worry about it so much. I know I’ll always do it and all these “cures” are BS, but I find myself getting so caught up in waiting for the stutter to happen, that I inevitably always end up stuttering. So I just want to not think about it as much, and if it happens, it happens. Also, maybe learn some strategies to help. Also, I would like to talk to someone about my particular stutter. For instance, I’m not sure what letters or parts of words trip me up. And I get so stuck sometimes I literally can’t get a sound out which I now know is a referred to as a block. For me, that is the part I am most concerned with. I can handle repeating some words and letters, but when the phone rings and physically can’t get the word hello out, or I’m in the middle of a sentence and I just lock up, that’s what bothers me.
