Hi... i did this basic same approach (sans recording) throughout my entire MS and PhD degree work. Every presentation... for meetings... for my defense(s), etc... Written out, word for word - memorized... Practiced over... and over... My poor wife being an "audience" Yes, it got me through - i just wish i hadn't had to do it. :( Fast forward... Am a college prof, give lectures to audiences of various sizes.... And no longer care! I am who i am - and have confidence in what I'm presenting. Yup, I'll stumble, but 99/100 no one will know what i planned to say, so I'll zig/zag around the block or the stutter Life will (and has to) go on! Good luck!
