You're doing research on something that isn't necessarily pertinent to your character. Long lasting consequences of brain injuries are very different from innate stuttering. The medical and psychological implications can be completely different. If you want to keep doing research for your character you should research brain injuries and brain trauma survivor behavior. If you want to do a stuttering character you should keep researching what you're researching now. These are not the same thing.
