I think you are right, especially in the opposite way. Most stutterers I think started out evaluating stuttering negatively (shame, fear, guilt that they stutter) and after many years they think positively about stuttering (proud, happy, content that they stutter). By that logic, is it effective to first treat the 'incorrect positive evaluation' and then treat the incorrect negative evaluation of stuttering? If so, what are your arguments or reasons? And don't overlook the third way of evaluation where stutterers evaluate 'fluency' negatively (no need, no motivation, no discipline for fluency). Do we treat this third evaluation after or before the other evaluations?
